Band have also shared the artwork for upcoming single 'Bang Bang'
Green Day appear to have hinted at the title of their upcoming new album.
The first new music from the Californian punk band since 2012 album ‘¡Tré!’ is set to be released on Thursday (August 11) and has been confirmed to be called ‘Bang Bang’.
With frontman Billie Joe Armstrong posting the single artwork for ‘Bang Bang’ on Instagram, fans (and Upset) have noticed that the caption includes the hashtag “#revrad”, which they believe to stand for ‘Revolution Radio’.
The hashtag also appears in additional Instagram posts from Armstrong and it has further been suggested that ‘Revolution Radio’ could be the title of a new song too.
NME has contacted Green Day’s press representatives for a comment on the matter.

Back in April 2015, the band’s long-time producer Rob Cavallo spoke about the group’s new music.
“Let me tell you, they were just fantastic. [Armstrong] is absolutely at the top of his game,” Cavallo said. “Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing.”
The band also shared a video of them recording new music in the studio earlier this year.
