Jakob Danger has signed to California label Burger Records

The youngest son of Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has unveiled music of his own under the name Jakob Danger.

Real name Jakob Armstrong, the 16 year old has signed to California label Burger Records (home of FIDLAR, Thee Oh Sees and more) to release his debut EP.

Armstrong has already released a handful of tracks via YouTube, which you can hear below. His SoundCloud bio claims that “More is always on the way.”


Jakob’s older brother Joey is also a musician and plays drummers in the band Swmrs, also signed to Burger Records.

Meanwhile, Green Day have shared a trailer video for their new documentary film Heart Like A Hand Grenade.

Described as a “time capsule rock doc”, the movie revisits the band during the making of their 2004 album ‘American Idiot’.

The film is due for release on October 15 and has been directed by John Rocker, who spent nine months filming Green Day during the making of the album.
