Their new album 'Revolution Radio' was released today (October 7)
Green Day performed their comeback single ‘Bang Bang’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (October 6).
The track features on their new album ‘Revolution Radio’, which was released today (October 7).
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently revealed that the song was written from the perspective of a mass gunman and it foretold the latest wave of mass killings in the US.
“It’s about the culture of mass shootings that happen in America, mixed with narcissistic social media,” he said. “There’s this rage happening, but it’s also now being filmed, and we all have ourselves under surveillance. To me, that’s so twisted.” You can watch the performance below.
The album which is the band’s 12th was also available to stream today via Apple Music and Spotify.
