Greta Van Fleet announce details of debut album, ‘Anthem Of The Peaceful Army’

The new album is coming this October

Greta Van Fleet have announced the release of their debut album, ‘Anthem Of The Peaceful Army’.

Set for release on October 19, the band have also revealed a new song ‘Watching Over’ to coincide with the announcement.

Set to “draw on the band’s love of classic soul and southern rock” the new song intends to deliver “an emotional anthem fit for the stadiums” the band hope to be playing soon.

The album will feature ten new songs which all four band members have written collectively. In a press release, the band have detailed a list of themes that the album explores, with everything from fresh starts and adventure to courage, myth and truth being covered.

Produced by Marlon Young, Al Sutton and Herschel Boone (The Rust Brothers), the album was recorded earlier this year at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan.

The first single from ‘Anthem of the Peaceful Army’, ‘When The Curtain Falls,’ arrived last month and has already earned more than than 10-million streams.

Earlier this year, the Michigan four-piece hit out at those who have accused them of “ripping off” Led Zeppelin, claiming the iconic band have not influenced their sound.
