Grimes and Janelle Monáe perform ‘Venus Fly’ live for the first time – watch

Musician Claire Boucher released new album 'Art Angels' last week

Grimes invited special guest Janelle Monáe on to the stage at her show in Atlanta on Wednesday (November 11).

Appearing at the city’s Buckhead Theatre, Monáe and Grimes performed ‘Venus Fly’ from the latter’s new album ‘Art Angels’.

‘Art Angels’ was released last week (November 6) and also features the singles ‘Scream’ and ‘Flesh Without Blood’/’Life In The Vivid Dream’.

Recorded primarily in her home studio in Los Angeles, ‘Art Angels’ was written and recorded entirely by Grimes and features the artist playing guitar, violin and piano.

Grimes’ previous official release was 2014 stand-alone single ‘Go’, a song originally written for Rihanna.

She will play a host of UK shows next year following the release of ‘Art Angels’, as follows:
