Grimes has designed the front cover of a new comic book.
The avant-pop artist (real name Claire Boucher) has teamed up with Image Comics for the project, providing the cover art design for The Wicked + The Divine, in which modern pop stars have god-like powers.
Boucher’s artwork was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (June 11). You can see the image below.

Meanwhile, Grimes’ much-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s ‘Visions’ will allegedly be released in October, according to the musician herself.
The singer recently revealed that she scrapped a whole album’s worth of new music because it was “depressing”. However, now a new LP looks to be on its way.
A fan of Boucher’s tweeted in May asking when her new record is to be expected, with Grimes replying via the social media platform: “Oct!”
In other messages to fans, Grimes revealed that the album will be a “surprise release” because all the songs should be “heard together”. She also described the album as “very different” to anything she’s done prior, with “real instruments” used.
