Grimes teases ‘Go’ music video – watch

Song was originally written for Rihanna before being rejected

Grimes has released a teaser trailer for the music video to new track ‘Go’.

A collaboration between Grimes – real name Claire Boucher – and producer Blood Diamonds, the song debuted in June and, as reported by Under The Radar, will soon be released with a full length video. Click above to watch the 36 second preview.

The song was originally written for Rihanna before being rejected by the ‘Umbrella’ singer. The news was announced on Twitter when Grimes revealed she’d be playing three new songs at the New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival.

Boucher wrote, “For those at gov ball, u should stick around for my final song because its special & top secret & new, actually im playin 3 new songs… but the last song is one me and @BLOOD_DIAMOND5 wrote for rihanna but they turned it down it so its kinda different from regular grimes”.

Grimes recently hit out at members of the public who edit her Wikipedia page to include comments she made about drug use while making 2012 album ‘Visions’. The page references a 2012 interview in which the singer revealed she “blacked out the windows and did tons of amphetamines and stayed up for three weeks and didn’t eat anything,” while making the record. Attempts to remove the interview from Wikipedia have proved ineffective, with the quotes repeatedly reinserting into her online profile.

“Editing a website that people take seriously and reference all the time so that it looks like i think amphetamines are cool is incredibly irresponsible,” said the singer via Tumblr. “I don’t want that to be part of my narrative, and if it has to be I want people to know that I hate hard drugs. All they’ve ever done is kill my friends and cause me to be unproductive.”
