Grimes, Public Enemy, Fatboy Slim to play Bristol In:Motion

Annie Mac, Four Tet, Magnetic Man, Lee 'Scratch' Perry will also perform

A host of big names, including Grimes, Public Enemy and Fatboy Slim, are set to play Bristol’s forthcoming In:Motion series of underground dance and electronica events.

Taking place from September to December of this year, this will be the third In:Motion series and will also see appearances from Annie Mac, Four Tet, Magnetic Man, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and more.

Grimes will be playing her only UK winter show as part of the event on November 13. Public Enemy play October 28 and Fatboy Slim on December 8. Annie Mac and Magnetic Man appear on November 24, while Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, accompanied by a full live band, is on October 26.

The opening event is on September 26 and will be headed up by Just Jack. All shows take place at Motion Nightclub. For more details, visit: bristolinmotion.com

Grimes was recently shortlisted for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, the Canadian equivalent of the UK’s Mercury Music Prize.

Arcade Fire won the award last year, picking up the $30,000 (£19,300) prize at a ceremony in Toronto. Fucked Up, Caribou and Final Fantasy are all former winners.
