Grizzly Bear have revealed that their first album in four years is now “90 percent done”.
The band shared the news on Twitter earlier today, but told fans this will be the “last update until you hear it”.
Fans are now speculating that the band could be planning a Beyoncé-style surprise release.

The Brooklyn band had revealed in April that they were heading into the studio to record an album, which will be their follow-up to 2012’s ‘Shields’.
They said on Twitter at the time that they had “tons of songs”. They also revealed that drummer Chris Bear had become a father.
“We r passionate to make amazing music for years to come!” they also tweeted in April. “And we are passionate about changing the political system in the US.”

Grizzly Bear endorsed Bernie Sanders in the run-up to the US presidential election. However, he eventually missed out on the Democrat Party’s nomination to Hillary Clinton.
Grizzly Bear formed in Brooklyn in 2002, and have released four previous. studio albums. The most recent, ‘Shields’, came out in September 2012. The creative process has become a bit trickier in recent years, since two members including Ed Droste, the band’s driving force, have moved from New York to L.A.
