Gruff Rhys has announced plans for a UK tour this September.
The Super Furry Animals man will support the release of his fourth solo album ‘American Interior’ with a run of shows at churches, town halls and ‘iconic’ UK venues, kicking off the dates at Shetland Mareel on September 4. The 13-date tour will also see him playing a previously announced show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on September 20.
Ahead of the autumn shows he will embark on a multimedia ‘tour’ of Glastonbury Festival between June 25-29, the first of its kind. Taking fans across all platforms of ‘American Interior’, Rhys will host a screening of the album’s accompanying film in the Cinema Tent, a discussion about its book on the Free University stage, a DJ set in the Stonebridge tent and a late night gig in the Crow’s Nest.
