Taken from Gucci Mane's latest album, released today
This isn’t the first time Gucci and Drake have come together for a song; the Toronto rapper also appeared on the song ‘Back on Road’.
Gucci Mane initially teased the track yesterday (December 15) on his Instagram account. You can listen to ‘Both’ here.
Earlier this week, Gucci Mane became the latest artist to perform for NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk’ series.
The prolific Atlanta rapper, who returned to music after finishing his prison sentence with his ninth studio album ‘Everybody Looking’ in July, was a surprise booking on the American radio station’s series of live performances, which hosts artists from the close and intimate confines of NPR host Bob Boilen’s desk.
Gucci brought along regular collaborator and producer Zaytoven for the performance, with the latter supplying piano accompaniment as Gucci delivered stripped-back versions of three songs: ‘First Day Out’ (which came out a day after his release from prison in May), ‘Everybody Looking’ cut ‘Waybach’, and ‘Last Time’.
NPR acknowledged the surprise nature of their latest guest, writing: “Gucci Mane agreed to this unlikely set as a gesture to those people — for remembering his work while he was away, and for cheering on his resurgence, his health, his charm and his singular nature.”
