Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp form supergroup ‘Gucci Gang’ for Coachella

Mystery solved!

Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp have been revealed as members of a supergroup called ‘Gucci Gang’, with the trio confirmed to perform at Coachella 2019.

The iconic California festival yesterday (January 2) revealed its full lineup for 2019, with Ariana GrandeChildish Gambino and Tame Impala taking the top billing. This year’s festival takes place over the weekends of April 12-14 and 19-21.

The lineup included a mystery group called ‘Gucci Gang’. It has now been revealed to be a collaboration between the three rappers.

The trio have taken the name of Lil Pump’s breakout 2017 track ‘Gucci Gang’.

Sharp-eyed fans were quick to notice the mystery band name, with many assuming it was a typo.

The festival later updated their website with a composite picture of Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp.

The mystery of the supergroup was overshadowed by the news that Kanye West reportedly pulled out of headlining after experiencing logistical issues with his staging.

According to TMZ, West pulled out of the 2019 event because he didn’t want to perform on the festival’s traditional 40×60 foot stage because it was “artistically limiting.”
“These 40×60 stages are so archaic. It’s the same type of stage on which Shakespeare’s works were performed hundreds of years ago,” a source told the website.

When the festival organisers were unwilling to accommodate West’s demands, they allegedly parted ways.
