Frontman appears on US TV show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Axl Rose did his first television interview in 20 years last night – watch footage of it above.

The Guns N’ Roses frontman appeared on US TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday (October 25) to promote the band’s forthcoming residency in Las Vegas.

Revealing very little, Rose spoke about the early days of Guns N’ Roses in Hollywood. “We’re just a few minutes from your old rehearsal space, do you ever think about it when driving by?” Kimmel asked. “Not in a while,” Rose replied. When asked if he remembered it at all, he replied bluntly, “Unfortunately.”

Speaking about his notoriously bad punctuality, Rose said it was a “miracle” that he’d turned up for the show on time. He then laughed as Kimmel showed him a picture of an Oscar Wilde quote hanging in his home, which reads “punctuality is the thief of time”. “We’ve been doing a lot better recently,” he said.

The current line-up of Guns N’ Roses will be play a 12-date residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The rockers will play a run of shows titled the ‘Appetite For Democracy’ residency and have promised to deliver a lengthy and career-spanning setlist at each of the shows. The shows begin on October 31 and then take place on November 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23 and 24.
