Watch Axl Rose back on his feet again as Guns N’ Roses launch reunion tour

Reunited band began their 'Not In This Lifetime Tour' in Detroit last night (June 23)

The reunited Guns N’ Roses began their summer reunion tour in Detroit last night (June 23).

Frontman Axl Rose, who borrowed Dave Grohl’s “rock throne” for the band’s Coachella sets in April while he nursed a broken foot, was back on his feet again as GN’R blasted through a 25-song set. It featured all of the iconic rock group’s best-loved hits including ‘November Rain’, ‘Paradise City’, ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ and ‘Welcome To The Jungle’.

The band’s support acts on the ‘Not In This Lifetime Tour’ include Alice In Chains, who opened for them in Detroit and will also join them in Washington DC, Kansas City and Chicago, and Lenny Kravitz, who will open for them at their shows in Foxboro and East Rutherford.

Guns N’ Roses’ reunion tour runs until August 22, with all dates taking place in North America. Axl Rose has recently said the band are hoping to play shows in the UK, though these have yet to be announced yet. He has also confirmed that the band are working on new material.

Axl Rose recently completed a run of European shows with AC/DC, replacing frontman Brian Johnson, who has been advised by doctors to stop touring if he wants to save his hearing.
