Guns N’ Roses drummer hints at reunion

Steven Adler says original line-up 'have to get back together'

Guns N’ Roses‘ former drummer Steven Adler has hinted that the original line-up may reform.

The sticksman, who left the band in 1990, revealed in an interview on his official MySpace page that he has been in contact with Axl Rose over a reunion.

Adler said: “I saw Axl, talked with him from, shit, what was it? 10 or 12 at night to 8 in the morning, we talked. We resolved a lot of fucking shit! I said, ‘You know the five of us have to get back together! That’s when it will really fucking take off again! Nothing will be bigger. It would be the biggest reunion ever in history’.

“He just grinned and giggled a little bit. Everybody in his band came up to me and said, ‘You’re the greatest fucking drummer!. We tell Axl, ‘You gotta get the band back together’!” That’s what they said to HIM!”

The drummer also revealed that he has also been in contact with ex bandmate and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash and ex-rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, who has already made a number of guest appearances on Guns N’ Roses‘ recent tour.

He added: “I’ve been talking with Slash. I’ve been talking with Izzy. He wants a reunion.”

Rose, who is currently fronting Guns N’ Roses, is due to release the band’s long-awaited new album ‘Chinese Democracy’ on March 6.
