Dizzy Reed claims new Guns N’ Roses music is ‘in the process of being finished’

The band's most recent album 'Chinese Democracy' was released 2008

Guns N’ Roses keyboard player Dizzy Reed has said that the band is currently putting the finishing touches on some new music.

As reported by Blabbermouth, Reed revealed the news to VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner, claiming the band’s first new material since the release of ‘Chinese Democracy’ in 2008 was almost ready to be released.

“There’s a lot of material that’s already done and I think it’s in the process of being finished and eventually we’ll pick out which songs need to come out with which other songs. So that’s in the works. Hopefully it will be out really soon.”

Speaking in June, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose claimed the band have two albums already completed. According to the 52-year-old, one of these LPs consists of a number of previously unheard tracks recorded during the ‘Chinese Democracy’ sessions, while he also confirmed the existence of a ‘Chinese Democracy’ remix album.

“We recorded a lot of things before ‘Chinese…’ was out. We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of ‘Chinese…’. That’s already recorded. [The remix album has] been done for a while, too.”

Aside from Rose, Reed is the and only member of oft-altered band to remain from their ‘Use Your Illusion’ era.
