No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani joins ‘The Voice USA’

Singer will line up alongside new coach Pharrell Williams when NBC show returns later this year

Gwen Stefani has confirmed that she has joined The Voice USA as a coach.

The No Doubt singer will appear as one of the four coaches alongside Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and Blake Shelton when the talent show returns to US screens later this year. She will replace Christina Aguilera in one of the NBC show’s spinning chairs.

Gwen Stefani is the second new addition to The Voice USA line-up following the news that Pharrell Williams will replace Cee Lo Green, who announced recently that he was leaving the reality TV show after four seasons.

Confirming the news about her role on the show, Gwen Stefani wrote, “It’s true” on Instagram and posted the following picture of herself recreating the show’s logo.

Meanwhile, BBC executives have confirmed that the UK version of The Voice will return for a minimum of two more series. However, it will be without Kylie Minogue. She recently confirmed her departure after just one series as a coach alongside Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson.
