Band talk computer games and groupies at NME Q&A Session
Hadouken! faced their public in a lively NME Q&A at the Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival today (August 24).
London‘s rock’n’rave pioneers took part in the first of our exclusive question and answer sessions, which opened the comedy and cabaret programme on the festival’s Alternative Stage.
As well as revealing details of their debut album, due next year, the band took questions from an already-rowdy floor, which ranged from them relinquishing their status as ‘Hoxton Heroes’, turning down offers from potential groupies, and naming their favourite Streetfighter II character.
At one point, frontman James Smith launched into a rendition of eighties hit ‘The Power Of Love’ by Huey Lewis and the News.

Later on, Hadouken! triumphed with an lunchtime show on the NME/Radio 1 Stage.
Meanwhile, We Are Scientists are the stars of the weekend’s second session tomorrow in Reading, at 12pm on the Alternative Stage.
