Band have collaborated with the filmmaker several times
Haim‘s set at Coachella festival later this month will feature visuals directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Coachella runs for two weekends later this month at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd are the headliners this year.
Pitchfork reports that Haim’s set will include new visuals from acclaimed filmmaker Anderson, who has worked with the trio several times in the past and is a former student of their mother’s.
Haim released their second album ‘Something to Tell You’ in July 2017.
The group recently spoke out about fighting sexism in the music industry.
“The stories are endless,” Alana Haim told NME. “We used to go into venues, we would show up for soundcheck, the sound guy would be on his phone and we’d go ‘oh, can I hear a little more of my voice?’ Then you’d get an eye roll.”
Danielle Haim continued: “The worst is actually after when someone from the venue goes ‘oh, you guys were actually OK’, or ‘oh, you guys actually play instruments.”
Asked about what changes they want to see to fight sexism in the music industry, Danielle added: “We just need equal opportunities to get these jobs. Period. It’s just not fair.”
