Happy Mondays have added an extra date at London Brixton Academy on Thursday April 29, but tickets are nearly sold out for all the other dates.
Although the tickets only went on sale today, very few remain.
“It’s phenomenal,” one ticket agent told nme.com. “Both Brixton shows went about an hour ago. Manchester and Glasgow are almost all gone. Everything will probably be sold out today.”
The additional London date is a late night show running from 9 pm – 2 am and tickets are ‘ 22.50.
“I’m stunned,” said a spokesman for the band. “We expected that the shows would sell out, but we thought it might be over a couple of days or a week.”
R.E.M‘s shows also went on sale today and predictably sales have been huge in the first hours with ticketlines and venue switchboards jammed.
