Portly pint-sized funkster HAR MAR SUPERSTAR will release his new album ‘The Handler’ in September and as previously reported he has roped in some high-profile guest stars.
Aussie pop princess Holly Valance and Yeah Yeah Yeahs star Karen O both feature. Karen O appears on ‘Cut Me Up’.
“She just came over to the garage one day and after three hours we had all the lyrics and the hooks and it was all recorded. We worked really well together,” Superstar told Rolling Stone.
Holly Valance, though, retains a very special place in his heart. “She’s really sexy,” he said. “Her last album was really good dance music. She’s really fun to be around, to have around the studio. There’s two songs she’s on – ‘Body Request’ and ‘Back That Camel Up’,” he told NME.COM.
‘The Handler’ appears through Record Collection/Warners on September 6 (September 14 in the US). Ahead of the release, he plays a number of US and UK shows including the Carling Weekend at Reading and Leeds, August 28 & 29.
