Hard-Fi have been forced to cancel their appearance at this week’s Coachella Festival after frontman Richard Archer was struck down with a throat infection.
The band were also forced to axe another couple of dates on California’s west coast.
A statement from Archer on the band’s official website reads: “I am deeply frustrated by the problem I’m having with my throat.
“We were so looking forward to hitting the States again at the end of the month, and especially looking forward to playing the Coachella Festival, but unfortunately it’s just not possible at this time. We’ll be back in June and plan to make up for it.”
The dates are:
Sacramento Boardwalk (April; 27)
San Francisco Slim’s (28)
Coachella Festival (29)
The band are to to go on a tour of the UK in May – the jaunt includes a record-equalling five-night stint at London Brixton Academy.
The full list of dates is:
Manchester Apollo (May 7/8)
Edinburgh Corn Exchange (9)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (10/11)
London Brixton Academy (14-18)
