The line-up for the BBC Introducing Stage at this year’s Reading And Leeds Festivals has been confirmed.
The stage, now on its fifth year at the festivals, aims to provide a live showcase for the “very best new talent from across the UK”. Acts including Two Door Cinema Club and Pulled Apart By Horses have appeared on the stage in previous years.
This year’s 33 up-and-coming acts have been selected through a combination of the BBC’s countrywide Introducing shows, Leeds promoters Futuresound, festival promoters Festival Republic and Martin House’s Centre Stage competition.
Notable selections include Hawk Eyes, Family Of The Year, Lady Lykez, Marmozets, Max Raptor and Rachel Sermanni. They join a wider Reading and Leeds line-up which features Foo Fighters, The Cure, Kasabian, The Black Keys and Florence + The Machine.
This year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals take place on August 24 and 25. Earlier this month (July 12), it was announced that Chiddy Bang! had pulled out of the annual double-header and been replaced by Hadouken!.
