Hear’Say have replaced KYM MARSH with a man.
Johnny Shentall, 23, who has previously been a backing dancer with Steps, and featured in the band Boom!, won his place in the group after two days of auditions in Brixton, south London.
A statement on the group’s official website, www.hearsay.uk.com , reads: “After an agonising night we’ve finally decided to choose Johnny Shentall as our new fifth member. He is an awesome talent and has done loads of dancing and singing before – he’s even been on tour with Steps as a dancer!!
“We’re really looking forward to starting work with Johnny and we know that he’s really excited too!
“Thanks to all of those who came along to the auditions – it was a wicked day and wouldn’t have been the same without your fantastic effort.”
Marsh walked out on the group earlier this year amid tabloid speculation over a rift in the group between her and fellow member Myleene Klass.
