The 'Popstars'band look likely to appear at the London event in June...

HEAR’SAY are lined up to play this summer’s LONDON MARDI GRAS festival, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

Though unable to confirm the band’s place on the bill, Hear’say‘s spokesman has confirmed to NME.COM that the ‘Popstars’ act are due to be performing on the main stage at the event, which takes place on June 30 in London’s Finsbury Park. Organisers are hoping for 85,000 people to turn up, and for the first time are introducing an indie stage.

According to the official Mardi Gras website,, the Radio 1 stage also sees the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Judge Jules and Danny Rampling taking to the decks.

Last year’s Mardi Gras featured the likes of Steps, Five, Louise, Samantha Mumba, Bananarama, Kylie Minogue and Boy George.

As reported on NME.COM yesterday (April 3), Hear’say have lined up a series of arena dates around the UK in September, with further dates expected to be added nearer the time. The NME.COM ticketshop has secured a limited allocation of the tickets, which will be available here on a first come, first served basis from Friday (April 6).
