Watch NME.COM's report from the band's Hamleys doll launch, and log on to a live video webchat tonight...
As HEAR’SAY cruise to Number One in the UK charts, NME.COM brings you yet another exclusive – this time from the launch yesterday (Saturday, March 17) of the band’s dolls at LONDON’s HAMLEYS toy store.
NME.COM’s video report includes footage of the band signing dolls and fielding questions at the press conference, Hear’say’s manager Chris Herbert lamenting the sad lack of Girl Thing dolls, and a four-year-old toy tester by the name of Jamie. [url=]Click here to see the report.
After spotting NME.COM at yesterday’s press conference, Noel from the band told us that with the launch of his doll he probably now constitutes a choking hazard, “and very proudly so”. Today (March 18) Hamleys told NME.COM that there were still “loads and loads” of the dolls in stock and that they’d been selling in fairly equal amounts – even though “we got in slightly less of Danny”.
Meanwhile, the band are inviting fans to join them for a live video webchat tonight at 8pm, just after the final, live instalment of ‘Popstars’ comes off air, at www.itv.co.uk/popstars. For fans without computers, ITV have set up a phone line which will allow people to listen in to the chat – the number is 09062 771111.
