Here’s Muse covering ‘Cherub Rock’ and ‘Zero’ by Smashing Pumpkins

Who wants honey?

This weekend saw Muse perform an instrumental cover of the Smashing Pumpkins‘ classic ‘Cherub Rock’. Check it out below.

The band were performing at the Aragon Ballroom in Chiacgo, when they honoured the city’s hometown rock heroes with a fiery rendition of the ‘Siamese Dream’ single.

Another nod to the band came later in the set when they worked a brief instrumental cover of ‘Zero’ from ‘Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness’ into their ‘15 minutes of metal’ medley – as debuted last week at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Following a huge show at Wembley earlier this year, Smashing Pumpkins will return to the UK to perform at Download Festival 2019.

Looking ahead to next year, Muse have teased that their upcoming tour will be heavily choreographed and inspired by David Byrne.

After disappointment from fans when the gig initially appeared to be scrapped, Muse this month added a huge Bristol show to their upcoming 2019 UK tour.
