Bassist says she wants to be part of full reunion
The bassist said she wanted to be part of a proper reunion – and that Love‘s actions were jeopardizing any possible one.
Love has put together a new version of Hole with ex-Larrikin Love guitarist Micko Larkin. The first Hole gig in 11 years is set to take place in London on February 17 for a Shockwaves NME Awards show.
Founding member Eric Erlandson has already voiced his disapproval, with Auf der Maur now adding her criticism – saying that although she sang backing vocals on the forthcoming album ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ she was not involved in live plans.
“After years and years of not being in touch, she contacted me about the possibility of working together,” she explained to Spinnermag.com. “It was an amazing creative opportunity. But in terms of Hole, honestly, I’m a little surprised by this turn of events.
She added that recent developments had connotations for the future of the band.
“It really is jeopardising the Hole reunion, which is not impossible, but it will be if this continues,” she said.
Love recently hinted in an interview with NME.COM that she and Erlandson may have come to a financial arrangement with regard to the use of the Hole band name.
