Hot Chip cancel tonight’s LA show

One of the band members is taken ill

Hot Chip have cancelled their Los Angeles performance tonight (February 4) due to one of the band members becoming ill.

The show was scheduled to take place at the El Rey Theatre, and has now been postponed until an undetermined date.

Hot Chip played a full set in New York on Saturday night as previously reported, where programmer Felix Martin reportedly was already ill.

According to a posting on Brooklyn Vegan, “Felix was really sick. So sick, he couldn’t show up for the soundcheck, just came in right before the show and left soon after. They scrubbed both ‘Don’t Dance’ and ‘One Pure Thought’ probably because of that.”

Refunds for tonight’s show will be made available to those who cannot attend the rescheduled date once it has been announced.
