Ahead of summer festival dates
Hot Chip have announced a UK tour for this spring – check out the dates below.
The electronic London outfit, fronted by Alexis Taylor, released their latest studio LP ‘Why Make Sense?’ in 2015. ‘Beautiful Thing’ – Taylor’s fourth solo effort – arrived in April of last year following Joe Goddard’s 2017 album, ‘Electric Lines‘.
With the ‘Ready For The Floor’ band already scheduled to perform at a number of summer festivals, they have now confirmed their own UK and European headline tour.
Beginning on April 1 in Glasgow, the tour will also see Hot Chip visit Manchester, London, Brighton, and Bristol. The group will then head over for a show in Paris ahead of appearances in Berlin, Amsterdam and other European cities.
In May, they will touch down in the US for a performance in LA.
Announcing the stint of gigs on their social media channels, the band promised that their live outing would be “a fistful of fun”. Tickets are due to go on general sale this Friday (March 1) at 9 am.
Meanwhile, Hot Chip were recently announced as headliners for Bluedot 2019. The music, science and culture festival in Cheshire will also see New Order and Kraftwerk top the bill this July.
Elsewhere, Hot Chip will perform in London’s Victoria Park as part of this year’s All Points East. Joining them at the east London three-dayer will be The Strokes, The Chemical Brothers, Christine and the Queens, Interpol and more.
