It's a shock new entry as The White Stripes fall to Three after just one week at the summit...

Hot Hot Heat are surprise new entries at the top of the NME CHART.

The disco-rock outfit shoot straight to the top of the chart this week with the video for ‘Talk To Me, Dance With Me’, which is released on Monday as a AA side with ’Oh Goddamnit’.

They knock down last week’s chart-toppers White Stripes, whose ‘The Hardest Button To Button’ drops two places to Number Three.

Elsewhere in the chart, little-known Britrock outfit Kill Keneda – who are produced by Strokes producer Gordon Raphael – are straight in at Number Nine with ‘Red and Black’.

This week’s top ten runs as follows:

1. Hot Hot Heat – ‘Talk To Me, Dance With Me’

2. Radiohead – ‘2+2=5’

3. The White Stripes – ‘The Hardest Button To Button’

4. Razorlight – ‘Rip It Up’

5. The Strokes – ’12:51′

6. Desert Sessions – ‘Crawl Home’

7. Jet – ‘Rollover DJ’

8. The Coral – ‘Bill McCai’

9. Kill Kenada – ‘Red And Black’

10. The Distillers – ‘Drain The Blood’

As ever, the NME Chart has been voted for by you. The rundown is hosted by Zane Lowe and broadcast every day on MTV2 at 7pm. To control next week’s countdown, log on to [url=]
