Hurts play London Union Chapel show a man down after injury

Little Noise Sessions gig takes place despite Adam Anderson's ailment

Hurts played London‘s Union Chapel last night (November 17) as part of the Mencap Little Noise Sessions shows – despite synth player Adam Anderson being unable to play with the band.

Anderson had injured his back at his home, rendering him unable to play live. But the band drafted in a replacement and managed to play a seven-song set at the Islington venue.

Singer Theo Hutchcraft told NME that the charity gig was “too important” for them to miss.

The frontman was joined on stage by Annie Lennox‘s daughter Tali, who sat plucking petals from a bunch of white roses throughout the gig.

The Kooks, Ellie Goulding and Pet Shop Boys are set to play Little Noise Sessions gigs at the venue soon. See for details.

Hurts played:

‘Wonderful Life’
‘Blood, Tears & Gold’
‘Better Than Love’
