I Was A Cub Scout cancel Leicester gig after onstage attack

Todd Marriott is injured in Southampton

I Was A Cub Scout have been forced to cancel a gig after their singer Todd Marriott was injured onstage.

The band were performing at Southampton’s Joiners last night (February 23), when Marriott was hit in the face with a glass thrown by a member of the audience.

The synth-pop band will not play their gig at the Leicester Charlotte tonight (February 24), due to the accident.

A spokesperson for the band told NME.COM: “Todd got a glass thrown in his face last night in Southampton, so tonight’s show is cancelled. He’s ok, though, thankfully.”

I Was A Cub Scout are set to perform at the following venues, although it’s not yet known when Marriott will be fit enough to play again:

Southend Chinnery’s (February 25)

Wolverhampton Little Civic (26)

London Underworld (27)

Cambridge Barfly (28)

Dublin Voodoo (29)

Galway Roisin Dubh (March 1)

Belfast Auntie Annie’s (2)
