The star has set up a video production company - and the promo for his new single 'FEAR' signals the star's debut behind the camera...

IAN BROWN is set to make his debut as a video director.

As previously revealed on NME.COM, the former Stone Roses frontman has completed work on his third solo album ‘Music Of The Spheres’, which is released on September 10.

The album’s first single is titled ‘FEAR’ and is released on August 27. Now, NME.COM can reveal that Brown has set up a video production company, and will make his directoral debut with the ‘FEAR’ video.

Sources close to the project have revealed that Brown has a wealth of footage on his camcorder, and it is likely the ‘FEAR’ video will be comprised mainly of this.

According to the official Ian Brown website at [url=]www.ianbrown-online.co.uk, the vocalist hopes that if “other bands like his work, he’ll be given the opportunity to make videos for artists other than himself”.

Brown is set to make his first live appearance of the year at the Lynx one-day festival in Acton, London on July 6. He is also confirmed for this year’s V2001 festival, at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Stafford over the weekend of August 18-19.
