Ian Brown is to hold a charity auction giving fans the opportunity to meet him.
Ian Brown is a supporter of Sight Savers International, the charity who work towards tackling blindness in the developing world.
An auction on Ebay between August 1-10 is set to offer the opportunity to see Ian Brown play live at V2002and meet him. The package also includes a one-off hand print in glazed ceramic, complete with his signature and photograph. The money raised will go towards the Sight Savers charity.
In a statement, Ian Brown said: “It is possible for the rock ‘n’ roll circus that feeds the fat cats to also benefit those in real need. Last year I charged journalists £15 a question for Sight Savers; the cost of a cataract operation and an insanely small amount of money to give someone back the gift of sight.
“This auction will allow the charity to help many more people. I’m also looking forward to making my hand print; I’ve got one of George Best’s foot which I love.”
Ian Brown will also play at this weekend’s Glastonbury festival.
