THE STONE ROSES‘ UNKLE and MANI have reunited for a track on the new Ian Brown album – and it will be premiered in LONDON tomorrow night (March 20).
The track, called ‘R.E.I.G.N.’, will be performed at the CND’Wrong War’ gig at Fabric. UNKLE is already confirmed to appear.
Ian Brown mainman James Lavelle told XFM: “It’s an orchestral led piece with [a][/a] on it, and Mani actually plays bass on it. It’s in a pretty DJ oriented style. “
The follow-up to 1998’s ‘Psyence Fiction’, due later this year, will showcase more guest musicians.
Lavelle said: “There’s a couple of guests on there, but its not as many as the last one. It’s quite a different record. It’s a bit more organic and I think it’s a little more up and down, and takes you on more of a journey through different types of sounds. From dirty beats to acoustic.”
Tickets are priced at £10 for tomorrow night’s event.
