WELSH RESIDENTS GO APE AT IAN BROWN

The locals in the Welsh town of Llithfaen go ape about the star's decision to sell the property...

Ian Brown‘s holiday home has been picketed by protesters dressed as monkeys – upset at his decision to sell it for £150,000.

The star is selling his home in Llithfaen, north Wales, however locals are concerned that the price of the property will be too high for local residents to afford.

One of the protesters, who were dressed as monkeys in reference to his nickname ‘King Monkey’, said: “The average house here sells for maybe £50,000 and the average wage is around £12,000.

“By putting this house on the market at such a high price, Ian Brown is practically guaranteeing that it will be sold to an outsider. That is destructive to the local community in terms of the Welsh language and culture.”
