Ian Brown is planning to play a secret gig in Northampton as warm-up for his ‘SPRING COLLECTION’ Easter tour next month, nme.com can reveal.
Although the gig is yet to be fully confirmed, inside sources claim the date is pencilled in for April 25 at the 900 capacity Northampton Roadmenders.
Tickets are expected to go on sale within the next few weeks, priced at #11.50.
Following the Northampton gig, Brown then plays London Hammersmith Palais the following night (April 26) and Blackpool Empress Ballroom (April 27).
Support on the London and Blackpool dates will come from Happy Mondays bassist Paul Ryder’s new band Buffalo 66 and Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam.
Ian Brown has also confirmed to US reporters he has started work on the follow-up to last year’s ‘Golden Greats’ album. He told CNN: “I already have five new songs for the next album and plan on releasing it the end of this year or early next year.”
