He also gets up to a bit of monkey business…

Ian Brown played a tiny show at LONDON’s HMV OXFORD ST shop last night (September 14).

As well as his gig in the evening, the star had to soundcheck for his live performance and signing, and gave unsuspecting afternoon shoppers a version of the track ’Longsight M13’.

As not to disappoint eager fans queuing by the side of the store, the singer then went along the line to meet and greet lucky punters.

The mischievous former [url=]Stone Roses frontman also played a trick on the HMV crowd during his main performance.

Noel Gallagher, who guests on Ian Brown’s latest single ’Keep What Ya Got’, was rumoured to be playing the set too, but before performing the track, Ian Brown told the crowd: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Noel Gallagher”, before adding, “On tape. Noel is washing his hair tonight.”

He later played the B-side to the single, ’Lovebug’ twice because of his love for the song.

Ian Brown’s latest album ’Solarized’ was released on Monday (September 13) with ’Keep What Ya Got’ coming out on September 20.

Last night’s setlist was:

‘Time Is My Everything’

‘Keep What Ya Got’

‘Destiny Or Circumstance’

‘Longsight M13’
