Watch Ice Cube reunite with N.W.A. members MC Ren and DJ Yella at Coachella

Ice Cube was also joined by Snoop Dogg and Common during his Coachella set

Ice Cube reunited with his NWA bandmates MC Ren and DJ Yella during his set at Coachella festival yesterday (April 16).

MC Ren and DJ Yella joined Ice Cube for renditions of the N.W.A. classics ‘Straight Outta Compton’ and ‘Fuck Tha Police’ – watch fan-shot footage below.

Ice Cube had said back in January that he was “gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together” at Coachella, though Dr Dre evidently proved unable or unwilling to join in with the mini-reunion too.

Ice Cube was also joined on stage during his set by son O’Shea Jackson Jr. (who portrayed his father in last year’s acclaimed N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton), as well as Common and Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg joined Ice Cube for a rendition of ‘Go To Church’ and stayed on stage to deliver a cover of Dr Dre’s ‘The Next Episode’.

Meanwhile, Ice Cube recently hit back at Gene Simmons after the Kiss frontman objected to N.W.A.’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

After Simmons tweeted saying “let me know when Jimi Hendrix gets into the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame”, Ice Cube responded by pointing out the black influence on the genre of rock and roll.

“Who stole the soul? Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Chubby Checkers help invent Rock n Roll. We invent it. Y’all reprint it,” Ice Cube wrote on Twitter.
