Listen to Ice Cube attack Donald Trump in new song ‘Arrest the President’

"Did you know the new white was orange?"

Ice Cube has released a new track called ‘Arrest the President’ which slams Donald Trump.

The legendary N.W.A. rapper last released solo music back in 2010 with ‘I Am the West’. This new single is the first material to arrive from his upcoming new album ‘Everythang’s Corrupt’, which is released on December 7 via Interscope.

The track’s hook couldn’t be clearer as Cube raps: “Arrest the President / You got the evidence“. The rapper goes on to take aim at the US President’s perma tan, asking “Did you know the new white was orange?

Other choice lyrics refer to the multiple scandals that have engulfed Trump’s term: “Let’s meet at the White House / Run in and turn the lights out / They treat it like a trap house / These muthafuckas never take the trash out“.

Throughout his career, Ice Cube has never shied away from politicised lyrics – and he’s not held back in his opposition to Donald Trump’s presidency. In September, the LA rapper joined Stevie Wonder and John Legend in supporting the NFL players who staged demonstrations before matches across America to protest police brutality.

President Trump hit out at players who performed the symbolic gesture, telling a rally: “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you’d say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired!”

Ice Cube reversed Trump’s insult, tweeting: “Never let a son of a bitch distract you from doing what’s right.”

A growing number of artists have issued cease and desist orders to President Trump recently after he used their music without permission. The likes of The Rolling StonesAerosmithREMQueen and Prince‘s estate have all forbid the President from using their music since he came to office.

Most recently, Pharrell Williams was compelled to act after his song ‘Happy’ was played at a rally just hours after the recent tragic shooting at the Tree of Life congregation shooting in Pittsburgh.
