New tour and new single from the Scots upstarts...

Idlewild have announced a tour to coincide with the release of new single ‘ACTUALLY, IT’S DARKNESS’, out on March 27 through Food.

The tour calls at Newcastle University (March 27), Liverpool L2 (28), Leeds Met University (30), Sheffield University (31), Nottingham Rock City (April 1), Bristol Anson Rooms (4), Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (5), Northampton Roadmenders (6), Brighton Concorde 2 (11) and London Forum (12).

A host of Scottish dates – some in rather remote places – are about to be announced, dates to be confirmed soon.

The band’s new single is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Little Discourage’ and is taken from their forthcoming album ‘100 Broken Windows’, out on April 10.

B-sides include previously unreleased tracks ‘Meet Me At The Harbour’, ‘West Haven’, ‘Forgot To Follow’ and ‘It’ll Take A Long Time’.
