Idlewild‘s instore appearance at the LONDON VIRGIN MEGASTORE is to be webcast by nme.com and VirtueTV, and the band have announced two more instore shows to coincide with the release of their new single.
The London gig, which takes place at the Oxford Street Virgin Megastore, has been moved back to 10.30pm on June 13. There will be 150 tickets available to fans on the day from the store, limited to one per person.
The band will play 40-minute set, at the launch party of a box set produced by Dr Marten‘s shoes. The set is released on June 12 through Virgin, and features bands that have been synonymous with DM’s through the last 40 years, including Idlewild, The Who, Sex Pistols, Morrissey, Elastica, Prodigy, ADF and PJ Harvey.
In addition to the London instore, the band have also announced details of two more live instore shows in Manchester and Glasgow to coincide with their new single, ‘These Wooden Ideas’, released on June 12 through Food Records.
The band are confirmed to play at Manchester Piccadilly Records (June 14) and Glasgow Virgin Megastore (15). The Manchester show starts at 5.30pm, with the store open to the public, while the Glasgow show is ticket only, with tickets available from the store from 8.30am on June 12.
The band have also confirmed festival appearances at the Glastonbury Festival (June 23), T In The Park (July 9) and the Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds Festivals (Reading August 26, Leeds 27).
