Iggy Pop, Josh Homme and Matt Helders make debut live appearance – watch

Pop's new band performed on 'Colbert' last night

Iggy Pop and Josh Homme made their first live appearance together on US TV last night (January 21).

As reported yesterday, Pop’s new album ‘Post Pop Depression’ was made in collaboration with Homme, with Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys on drums.

The band, complete with Homme’s Queens Of The Stone Age bandmates Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen plus Chavez’ Matt Sweeney, appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. Homme and Pop also spoke to Colbert about their work in a separate interview. See clips of both below.

‘Gardenia’ is the first song from the nine-song album, which will be released on March 18 through Caroline International in the UK.

The album was recorded in secrecy between Homme’s two studios: two weeks in Joshua Tree, and a further seven days at Pink Duck in Los Angeles. The tracklist for the album can be seen below.

Post Pop Depression:

‘Break Into Your Heart’
‘American Valhalla’
‘In the Lobby’
‘German Days’
‘Chocolate Drops’

The band plan to tour around the album release in March though no dates have been confirmed.
