GETTIN’ IGGY WITH REEBOK!

The godfather of punk appears in the print advertising promotion...

IGGY

POP is one of the stars of the a REEBOK ad campaign.

The

godfather of punk appears in the print advertising promotion, which also features

rapper ICE

CUBE in a separate poster image.

The campaign was devised by the

New York office of advertising agency BBH.

John Wardley, vice-president of brand communications for

Reebok, said: “The idea for this campaign is grounded in the

power behind simple, black and white imagery, something that truly resonates with

the timelessness and elegance of Reebok Classic shoes. We’re

hoping the portraits will stir people’s emotions as they realise that

Classic is about a timeless touch of humour, surprise, comfort,

mystique or fear that knows no barriers and crosses all cultures.”

The adverts

will first feature in the February 2002 issues of

American magazines. There is no date yet for a

British launch.
