The fourth installment of CALIFORNIA’s COACHELLA festival wrapped up last night (April 27) following a rousing performance by a reunited IGGY AND THE STOOGES.
Following a demanding set by White Stripes, Iggy Pop and co. took to the stage a little after 9pm. The outfit performed classics including ‘1969’‘, ‘No Fun’ and ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’ to a crowd of enthused patrons. Hives, who performed on Saturday, returned to the site on Sunday to catch the group and NME.COM witnessed Primal Scream’s Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield leap on to a pole to get a better view of their show.
The festival was peppered with a host of Hollywood stars and musicians who came out in droves for the popular two-day event which featured performances by Queens Of The Stone Age and Interpol as well as The Mars Volta, Underworld, The Von Bondies, The 22-20s, Polyphonic Spree, Sonic Youth, No Doubt, The Rapture and Dirty Vegas.
NME.COM spotted Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore hanging out with Blur, Elijah Wood with South, Juliet Lewis with Jack White and raving over The Von Bondies and Woody Harrelson running to catch Jack Johnson. Also cropping up throughout the weekend were Jared Leto, Tommy Lee, Rachel Hunter, [/a]’s Tony Kanal, former [a] guitarist Eric Erlandson, Paul Nichols, Sean Maguire and Kelly Osbourne.
