THE STOOGES REFORM FOR COACHELLA

The one-off appearance precedes some new studio recordings...

Iggy Pop is to reform US punk legends Iggy And The Stooges for a one-off appearance at the COACHELLA FESTIVAL in CALIFORNIA next month.

The star will reunite with guitarist Ron and drummer Scott Asheton, his original bandmates for the show on April 27, according to Rolling Stone. Former Minutemen bassist Mike Watt will join Iggy Pop

and Iggy And The Stooges

for the show, taking the place of original bassist David Alexander, who died in 1975.

The show precedes the new Iggy Pop

LP, which will include four songs from the reunited Iggy And The Stooges.
