Iggy Pop apologises for controversial comments

'Shame on me' singer tells NME.COM

Iggy Pop has apologised for making controversial comments at Glastonbury.

He was quoted as using the phrase “Paki shop” while speaking on television at the festival.

“I’m sorry,” Pop said last night (July 19) in an exclusive video interview with NME.COM backstage at the Benicassim festival in Spain. “It was one in the morning [when I said it]… that was a phrase I learned from English people while I was living there. But it’s terrible. More fool me. Shame on me.”
