Incubus have shared a new song, titled ‘Absolution Calling’.
The single will feature on their forthcoming EP, ‘Trust Fall (Side A)’, which is set for release on March 24. Click below to listen to the track. The band will play London’s Eventim Apollo on June 16.
The band are set to release two EPs this year. At the end of 2014, the band previewed the title track of the first EP, ‘Trust Fall’, live in Los Angeles. Speaking to Billboard about their plans for this year, Mike Einziger of the band spoke about the unconventional releases. “We’re planning on releasing two installments that will total an album, two EPs,” he said. “We’re hoping to put out the first one in February or March, then the summer.”
“Most of the music we’ve written is high energy,” continued Einziger, before discussing a song called ‘Make Out Party’, which he called “our heaviest song”. He also said the band had recorded a track called ‘Dance Like You’re Dumb’, which he said was “Our version of a loud aggressive rock song. It’s definitely not what someone would expect from us.”
The California based rock band released their last album ‘If Not Now, When?’ in 2011. It followed 2006’s ‘Light Grenades’.
