Interpol bought their ’ANTICS’ to LONDON last night (September 13) for an intimate gig at the ICA.
The set marked the first time the majority of fans had heard material from the band’s eagerly awaited second album – the follow-up to 2002’s debut ’Turn On The Bright Lights’.
Dressed in their trademark black suits, Interpol kicked off their set with ’Obstacle 1’ at the show, which was their first in the UK since last year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals.
Tracks taken from ’Antics’ included ’Evil’, new single ’Slow Hands’, ’Length Of Love’, ’C’mere’, and ’Narc’.
The setlist was:
‘Obstacle 1’
‘Evil’
‘NYC’
‘Slow Hands’
‘Length Of Love’
‘Say Hello To The Angels’
‘C’mere’
‘Narc’
‘Leif Erikson’
‘PDA’
‘Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down’
‘Roland’
The band also released ’Slow Hands’ yesterday (September 13) as the first single to be taken from the new album, with ’Antics’ following on September 27.
